Ms. Debra J. (Hunzer) Santey, 63, of the Hudson section of Plains Township, entered into Eternal Life unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon as an emergency patient in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains.

Almost immediately following her education, Debbie took full time employment with the Social Security Administration in Wilkes-Barre and remained with the government for the better part of 43 years, retiring from their data operations center in Plains Township as an administrative assistant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, George J. Hunzer Jr. in 1997.

Remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Debbie leaves behind her beloved daughters, Tracy L. Davitt and her husband Michael of Duryea and Tammy M. DeLucca, of Hudson;  the joys of her life, her granddaughters, Abigail Davitt and Madison DeLucco; Brothers, Joseph F. Hunzer and his wife Vicky of Plains Township and George Hunzer Sr. and his wife Joyce of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; several nieces and nephews and father of her daughters, Tony Santey and his wife Roxanne of Wyoming.   She also leaves her lifelong friend, Faith Martin of Hanover Township.  Together, the ladies enjoyed extensive traveling over the years, and were known as their families' own "Thelma and Louise" for their cherished friendship.
