Upon the time of his retirement, he remained active in his profession, often contributing forty hours a week to give aid and counsel to fellow architects.

A lover of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and enjoyed bowling in his youth.

He held membership in the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, Wilkes-Barre, the American Institute of Architecture and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mr. Edward T. Hrencecin on January 25, 2010 and by an aunt, Mrs.  Ann Stockage.
