Mr. Michael "Uncle Mike" Marshalla, 87, a resident of the North End section of the city, passed into Eternal Life unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon in the care of the Riverstreet Manor, where he recently resided.

Previously, Mike was employed for the former Sikorsky Aircraft as well as the United States Postal Service, both in the Bridgeport, Connecticut area.  After his relocation to Wilkes-Barre, he cared for his aging mother and took employment with the former Muskin Pool Company, from where he would eventually retire.
