Jerard Frederick Perdomo, 25, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Philadelphia, entered into Eternal Life unexpectedly Monday as a victim of a drive-by shooting while visiting in Trenton, New Jersey.
Born June 21, 1992 in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of Carlos F. Perdomo and Nurys Santana.
Jerard was educated in the Dominican schools, and later graduated from the Samuel S. Feis High School, after the family's relocation to the Philadelphia area.
In 2015 he then relocated again to the Wyoming Valley, setting in South Wilkes-Barre. A lover of music, Jerard was an amateur rap artist who performed on several internet videos, and also previously worked as a model in the Philadelphia area, being blessed with handsome looks.
Recently, he worked with his Aunt Eliesel as an administrative assistant at Wilkes-Barre Multiservice in North Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Perdomo, maternal grandfather, Julio C. Santana and a brother, Jean Carlos Perdomo, who died tragically in an automobile accident on January 23, 2011.
Left to mourn his passing in addition to his parents are his beloved sons, Jaiden Rodriguez, Jadiel and Jeramy Perdomo; Brothers, Carlos and Jesus Perdomo, both of Plains Township; Sister, Zizi Perdomo, at home; Nephew, Jean Carlos Perdomo; His beloved girlfriend, Sasha Rodrigues and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Jerard will be conducted on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Wilkes-Barre Heights location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 281 East Northampton Street, followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 226 South Washington Street. The Reverend Fidel Ticona, parochial vicar, will serve as celebrant and homilist.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in the parish cemetery, Pioneer Avenue, Shavertown.
Relatives and friends may join Jerard's family for visitation and remembrances Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions are suggested toward his children's education.
