Mr. Kenneth Paul "Kenny" Karkovack, 69, a resident of Blakely, passed into Eternal Life Friday morning in the care of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born February 10, 1950 in Peckville, he was as son to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Kopestonsky) Karkovack and was educated in the Peckville Area schools.
Following his formal education, Kenneth joined the United States Navy and proudly served our country during the Vietnam Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Kittyhawk aircraft carrier as a jet mechanic.
In his spare time, Kenny was a classic car enthusiast and loved to attend antique car shows and rides locally.
A lover of animals, he gave his spare funds to local animal shelters while living in Arizona following his military service.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother Joseph Karkovack Jr. of Carlisle, his sister, Sandra Ann Borusiewicz of Olyphant, Several nieces, nephews; dear friends including his caregivers, Ricardo and Heather Vega, at home and fellow veterans.
Funeral services for Kenny will be private and at the convenience of his family.
