Until her formal retirement, Barbara worked with her parents and brother in the family business, Wilkes-Barre Wholesale previously on Bennett Street in the city. There she held several positions over the years, serving as bookkeeper and later co-owner of the company. In 1977, she married her late husband, Mr. John M. "Jack" DeCinti, who worked in sales for the family business.
Barbara is best remembered as being a wonderful hostess for countless gatherings over the years. She was a devoted wife, dedicated daughter and sister to her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her in this life.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Joseph J. Sabol of Jenkins Township; Brother-in-law, Fred DeCinti and his wife Pierette of South Lake, Texas and their family; Barbara's goddaughter, Janine Friedman of Alburtus, PA; several cousins and dear friends.
Barbara’s family would like to gratefully acknowledge several of her beloved friends for their care, concern and assistance especially during her illness, including; Janine, Karen, Carleen, Melissa and the boys. Your kindness, love and support have been greatly appreciated.
