Brenda J. (Barna) Wacher

Brenda J. Wacher, 49, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Joseph Barna, of Wapwallopen, and the late Elizabeth Ciecierski Barna. She was a graduate of Columbia-Montour Vocational Technical School, Class of 1991. Coming out of high school, she was a hairstylist and later attended Phlebotomy school. Most recently, she was employed by Navient. She was a member of Holy Assumption of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.

Surviving, in addition to her dad, are her husband, Russ; children, Jacob Eberhardt, Wapwallopen; and Justin Eberhardt, Plains Twp.; brother, Joseph Barna and his wife, Dawna, Wapwallopen; grandson, Joshua Eberhardt; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Panachida will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday from John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc., 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Very Rev. Michael Kerestes, pastor, Holy Assumption of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, serving as celebrant.

Private interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Dallas.
