Ms. Dana L. (Williams) Clark, 54, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life late Friday the evening of May 31st as a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following a prolonged illness.
Born on Wednesday, September 3, 1969 in Wilkes-Barre, she was one of two daughters to the late Kermit E. and Darrell (Kleman) Williams.
Educated in the West Side schools, Dana was a 1987 graduate of the Wyoming Valley West High School, Plymouth.
In her spare time, she loved to crochet; was an avid cook, (which led her to her impressive Pyrex collection); She enjoyed reading a good book; Had a special place in her heart for animals and absolutely loved the Christmas season. She enjoyed decorating to the extreme and baking her famous cookies with family for the holidays.
Above all else, family truly was the focal point of Dana's life, and she cherished every moment they all spent together.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Kermit and Darrell Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Doug Shelly, at home; Daughters, Kayla Clark of Kingston and Karissa Clark, at home; Son, Kamryn Clark of Scranton; Step-Sons, Douglas Shelly Jr. of Larksville and Douglas Shelly III of Wyoming; Grandson, Gage Heil; Sister, Meggan Williams of Swoyersville; Cousin Crystal Lyons and her husband Tom of Shavertown; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Dana will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her in this life. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all she touched during her short time with us.
There will be a visitation with a Celebration of Dana's Life conducted Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Lay Servant, Mr. Frank Harrison of Albright United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre will serve as celebrant and leader of worship.
Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends may join Dana's family Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
