Dolores Yesuvida Obituary

Mrs. Dolores B. (Kozelsky) Yesuvida, 93, a well known and beloved resident of Wilkes-Barre's North End neighborhood; passed into Eternal Life early in the morning, Sunday, January 26th as an intensive care patient of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on Friday, July 24, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, she was one of two children to the late Joseph and Mary (Lavitski) Kozelsky.  Educated in the Catholic tradition, she was a 1949 graduate of the former Marymount High School, Wilkes-Barre Heights.

Until her retirement, Mrs. Yesuvida was employed by the valley's former garment industry as a seamstress for the Leslie Fay Company of Plains Township.  Previously in her youth, she along with her late husband Albert were employed by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation of Newark, New Jersey prior to the couple's relocation to North Wilkes-Barre.

Devoted to her faith, she was previously an active member of Saint Stanislaus Kosta, later Saint Andre Bessette Parishes prior to their closures; having served as a volunteer on various church committees and for different parish functions.

Dolores had a vibrant yet warm and welcoming personality.  She will be sincerely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Albert Yesuvida on September 14, 1990 and more recently by a nephew, Mr. Joseph G. Kozelsky on May 4, 2019.

Left to remember all the wonderful moments spent with her are her brother, Mr. Robert L. Kozelsky and his wife Clotilda R. of North Wilkes-Barre; Nephews, Robert J. Kozelsky and his wife Lori of Mountain Top and Michael D. Kozelsky along with his wife Kimberly of Brigantine, New Jersey; Great Niece, Anna Kozelsky and Great-Nephew, Michael Kozelsky and his fiancée Marlee; Several neighbors, former parishioners and dear friends.

Per her previous request, funeral services for Mrs. Yesuvida will be held privately and at the convenience of her family with no formal visitation.  Mass will be celebrated by her former pastor, the Reverend Kenneth M. Seegar in Saints Peter and Paul Parish Plains.  Burial with the Rite of Committal will be next to her husband in Mount Olivet Diocesan Catholic Cemetery, Wyoming.
