Elizabeth A. (Jakubowski) Hockenbury

     Ms. Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Jakubowski) Hockenbury, 62, a lifelong resident of the Wright Township section of Mountain Top, passed into eternal life unexpectedly at her home on Good Friday, April 18th, 2025.

     Born on Tuesday, October 2, 1962 in Wilkes-Barre, she was one of three children and the only daughter to the late William E. and Betty Ann (Machina) Jackubowski.

     Educated in the Mountain Top area schools, Elizabeth was a 1980 graduate of Crestwood Area High School.  She later furthered her education by attaining an Associate’s Degree locally.

     Betty was employed as a billing specialist for several years with the Slocomb Window and Door Company on the Sans Souci Parkway in Hanover Township.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. William E. Jakubowski on July 5, 2013; by her mother, Betty Ann (Machina) Jakubowski on November 13, 2020 and most recently by her companion, Mr. Michael P. Collins on May 16, 2024.

     Left to hold dear all the memories they now keep of her are her brothers, Mr. William Jakubowski and his wife Gina and Mr. Paul D. Jakubowski and his wife Susan, all of Mountain Top;  Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

     Funeral services for Betty will be held privately and at her family's convenience with no formal visitation.
