Mr. Frank S. Rico, 73, a resident of the Heights section of the city, passed into Eternal Life unexpectedly at his residence March 11th.
Born October 30, 1944 in Los Angeles, California, he was a son to the late Frank Rico and Isabelle (Mora) Gatrell.
He was educated in the California schools, relocating to the Wyoming Valley with his family at a young age. Frank was employed as a welder prior to his retirement, and was a member of Meade Street Baptist Church in Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded by his father, Frank Rico Sr., his mother, Mrs. Isabelle M. (Mora) Gatrell; his step-father, Mr. James L. Gatrell Sr. and by sisters, Mrs. Coral Ann Washburn and Ms. Ruth Rico.
Left to mourn his passing are his former spouse, Ms. Linda (Tarreto) Rico; sons, Frank III and Kristofor Rico; Seven Grandchildren; Brother, James L. Gatrell Jr. and his fiance, Diane Golya of White Haven; Aunt Mrs. Mary Ann Rose of Nuangola; Niece Stephanie; three great-nieces, several cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Rico will take place Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from the Wilkes-Barre Heights location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 281 East Northampton Street.
Interment will be next to his family in Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1250 South Main Street, Hanover Township.
Relatives and friends may join Frank's family for visitation and remembrances Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
