Frank E. Wojcik Jr., 74, of Nanticoke, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, in Pittston, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Frank Wojcik and Emma Birkenhead Wojcik. Frank was a graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1965, and Wilkes College, Class of 1969. He was employed as a teacher for 31 years in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District spending most of his time at Coughlin High School. He enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing, coin collecting, woodworking and was an avid history enthusiast. Frank was also a member of the Nanticoke Historical Society.
He is survived by his children, Frank J. Wojcik, Seattle, Wash.; Elizabeth Ehr and husband, David, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Joe Wojcik, Pittston; and Jeff Wojcik, Exeter; and sister, Carol Weale, Wilkes-Barre. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Allison, David and Nicholas Ehr. Also surviving is his partner, Carol Conaway, Kingston; and former wife, Martha Zavada, Exeter.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church, 2 Lockhart St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Adam Demetros officiating.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at John V. Morris Family Funeral Home, 625 North Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
