Mr. Frederick "Fred" Taylor Lee, 75, a resident of Plains Township, passed into eternal life Friday morning in the Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, following a recent illness.
Born on Saturday, December 21, 1946 in Orange County, California, he was one of five children to the late Herbert and Mary (Malia) Lee.
He began his elementary education on the west coast prior to his family's relocation to upstate New York, where he graduated from high school.
Following his formal education, Mr. Lee enlisted with the United States Navy and proudly served our country during the VietNam Conflict.
Until his retirement, Fred was employed as an electrician with Vector Security of Wilkes-Barre Township for several years. Previously, he was employed by New York Telephone. He also assisted his father with swimming pool installations in his youth.
Fraternally, Mr. Lee was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars LANI Post #6325 in Miners Mills, as well as the Joseph E. Conlon Post #558 of the American Legion in Plains Township.
He will forever be remembered as being a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather and great-grandfather to his family who will miss him greatly.
Sadly, he was preceded in death by a son, Virginia Beach Police Officer, Rodney Pocceschi in the line of duty in 2003; shortly after that, by his second wife, Rodney's mother, the former Jeanette (Orlando) Lee, in 2010. Also preceding him were brothers Michael, Kelly and Tony Lee.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pamela (Eckert) Reichart-Lee at home; Children, including Fred Lee and his wife Patty of Florida; Danny Lee and his wife of Cristina, of upstate New York; Gina Boyle and her husband Tom of Imperial, PA; Jacqueline Mosley and her husband John of Laurel Run; Shawn Reichart, at home; Richelle Tevenal and her husband Ralph of Tunkhannock; Numerous grandchildren including Alivia Rose Reichart, his sidekick; Several great-grandchildren; His sister, Mrs. Lorna Ewing and her husband Gary of Lansing, MI; Several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Memorial Funeral Services for Fred will be held Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Nebo Baptist Church, 75 South Prospect Street, Nanticoke with the Reverend Timothy G. Hall, senior pastor, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by members of the Plains American Legion Honor Guard. Relatives and friends may join Pam and the family directly at church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
