Gary C. Gould Jr.

     Mr. Gary C. Gould Jr., 55, a resident of Wilkes-Barre's North End neighborhood, passed into Eternal Life unexpectedly Thursday evening as an emergency patient of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after being stricken ill at home.

     Born on Friday, August 19, 1966 in Sussex, New Jersey, he was one of six children to the late Gary Sr. and Geraldine E. (Ramage) Gould.  Educated in the New Jersey schools, he was a member of the 1984 graduating class of the Sussex Central High School.

     Following the family's relocation to the Wyoming Valley, he settled in North Wilkes-Barre.  Prior to illness causing his early retirement, Gary had been employed locally in retail sales by Wal-Mart in the Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace for several years.

     Above all else, Mr. Gould is remembered by those who knew and loved him as being a wonderful, loving and devoted husband, father, uncle and friend who placed family as the center point of his life.  He will be greatly missed.

     Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Gould in 2014.  Sadly, his beloved wife of twenty-eight years, the former Dorothy E. (Searfoss) Gould passed only a year ago on March 11, 2021.

     Left to cherish the wonderful memories they share of him are his daughter, Christine M. Gould and her fiancé, James Warman, at home; Siblings, including Steven Gould of Florida; Theodore Gould and his fiancée Karie Boston of Wilkes-Barre; Nancy Moore and her husband Richard of Middletown, NY; Sandra Gould Brooks of Kingston; Several cousins, nieces, nephews including Amir and Amira Carty of Wilkes-Barre, fellow co-workers and dear friends.

     Per his previous request, funeral services and interment for Gary will be held privately and at the convenience of his family with no formal visitation.
