Helen Rose (Sosnowski Zdancewicz) Bath

Mrs. Helen R. Bath (Sosnowski Zdancewicz), 88, formerly of Zerbey Avenue, Edwardsville and more recently of Tripp Street, West Wyoming, passed into Eternal Life early Tuesday morning. Born February 1, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan, she would have celebrated her 89th birthday next week.  She was a daughter to the late Eva (Pokornicki)  Sosnowski Zdancewicz.

     Mrs. Bath was a member of the 1949 graduating class of the former Edwardsville High School.  She then furthered her education by attaining a diploma from the Wilkes-Barre Business College.

     After her formal education, Mrs. Bath was employed in the business office of Lazarus Department Store in Wilkes-Barre for several years before raising her family.  Later in life, she assisted her late husband George in the daily operations of the former Bath's Pub on Main Street in Edwardsville for eleven years prior to the couple's retirement. They enjoyed spending time with their family at their cottage in Tunkhannock, PA.

     A woman of faith and having a devotion to our Blessed Mother, Mrs. Bath was a founding member of the Saint Hedwig Rosary makers, where she was active for many years. Her rosaries were distributed to missionaries in countries all over the world.

     Above all else, Helen is remembered by her family as being a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Her presence will be greatly missed by all those she touched in this life.

     She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. George J. Bath on March 14, 2010. 

     Left to cherish the wonderful memories they have of her are her children, George John Bath and his wife Diane of Lovettsville, Virginia; Rita Cheskiewicz and her husband Allan of Dallas; Paul Bath and his wife Mary Jo of Bear Creek and Susan Sharkey along with her husband George of West Wyoming.  Her grandchildren; John Paul and Stephen Bath; A.J. and Matthew Cheskiewicz; Zachary and Rachel Marie Bath and George Sharkey.

     Per Helen's previous request, funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.  There will be no formal visitation. Interment with the Rite of Committal will be in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston Township.
