The morning of Wednesday, August 9, 2023, the hopes and dreams of Emily Tlatenchi and Jeury Castillo were forever altered, as their only daughter; Rosalia Castillo was called home to the arms of Our Lord in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Little Rosalia was born into this world only four days prior on Saturday, August 5th in Danville. Despite being with us those few days, her little body was not strong enough to continue growing without her mommy's help.
Besides her parents, she will be forever loved and missed by maternal grandparents, Moses and Maria Rosa Tlatenchi of Wilkes-Barre; paternal grandpop, Jose Castillo, also of Wilkes-Barre and paternal grandmother, Critovalina Urena of the Dominican Republic. She also leaves behind her great-grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for baby Rosalia will be conducted on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Benito Hierro Auino, CSMA, parochial vicar of Saint Nicholas Parish, Wilkes-Barre, will serve as celebrant and leader of worship.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will immediately follow in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, 1594 South Main Street, Hanover Township.
Relatives and friends may join Rosalia's family for visitation Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
