Mr. Jerome R. "Jerry" Kuczynski II, 40, a resident of Pittston, passed peacefully into eternal life early the morning of Tuesday, March 4th while in the care of the Valley Manor Rehabilitation and Care Center, Coopersburg, Bucks County; following complications from a recent health episode.

Born on Thursday, July 19th, 1984 in Wilkes-Barre, Jerry was one of three children to Jerome R. Kuczynski and Leona(Fronczkiewicz) Kuczynski of Hanover Township; and was raised in the Catholic faith.

Educated in the city schools, Jerry was a graduate of the former James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 2002.

Prior to his passing, he was employed as a student loan specialist beginning with the Sallie Mae Company, later Navient which is now known as Mohela in Hanover Township for a number of years.

In his spare time and being a lover of the outdoors, Jerry enjoyed hiking and was an avid fisherman. He also took pride in his annual gardens, cultivating some fifty rose bushes at his residence over the years. He had an affinity for rail transportation; be that locomotive, trolley or model railroading. Jerry even enjoyed volunteering his time at Steamtown National Historic Site of Scranton, along with several smaller volunteer operations through-out the state of Pennsylvania.

He is best remembered and will be forever missed as being a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and dear friend.  He and his wife, the former Samantha "Sam" J. Bonser celebrated 16 years of married life together on May 9th 2024.

Besides his parents and his beloved wife Sam at home, Jerry leaves behind a sister Kimberly, a brother Adam, his cherished nephews and nieces; Mike, Randy Jr., Rayna, Bella, Boston and Baby Lucy along with his in laws Thomas and Faith, like a brother Jimmy, several aunts, uncles, cousins, fellow co-workers and dear friends.
