Mrs. Joan C. (Karaska) Musto, 82, a resident of West Pittston, passed into Eternal Life unexpectedly Saturday, the evening of June 1st in the comfort of her home following a prolonged illness.
Born on Monday, March 23, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre, she was one of three children and the only daughter to the late Edward and Helen (Turak) Karaska.
Educated in the city schools, she was a graduate of the former James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.
Until her formal retirement, Mrs. Musto was employed as a customer service representative for the Social Security Administration Wilkes-Barre Data Operations Center for several years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by both her brothers, Mr. Joseph Karaska and Mr. Edward Karaska. Most recently she bid farewell to her beloved husband, Mr. Charles A. Musto on May 19, 2022.
Left to cherish her memory are two nephews, one niece and several friends including her neighbor and caregiver, Miss Ann Marie Noto.
Per her previous request, funeral services for Mrs. Musto will be held privately and at the convenience of her family with no formal visitation.
The John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc. of Wilkes-Barre is honored to care for our friend Mrs. Musto and her family at this time.
