Mr. John Buli, 63, a lifelong resident of the Georgetown section of Wilkes-Barre Township, fell asleep in the Lord Saturday evening while in the care of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, following a recent illness.
Born August 19, 1956 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the only son to the late Andrew Buli, who passed on December 10, 1962 and Margaret (Eloyswhy) Buli, who passed on February 14, 2019.
Educated in the local schools, John was a member of the 1974 graduating class of the James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.
He was a lifetime member of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre Township.
Left to hold his memory dear are his maternal aunt, Mrs. Anna Kohan, Wilkes-Barre Township; several generations of cousins including Joanne Wood, her husband Peter and their family of Kingston.
Funeral services for John will be conducted on Friday, November 22 with the Office of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 526 Church Street, Wilkes-Barre Township. The Reverend Mykhaylo Prodanets, pastor, assisted by Cantor Jennifer Terza, will serve as leaders of worship and thanksgiving.
Interment will be with his parents in the family lot of Holy Assumption of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lake Street, Dallas.
