Joyce M. (Stigora) Post

Joyce M. Post, 74, of Hanover Twp., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, March 14, 2023, at home.

Born Oct. 22, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Cecelia Schultz and Leonard Stigora. Joyce attended Nanticoke schools and continued her education at Nanticoke Hospital and became a registered laboratory technician. She worked at Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Geisinger NPW for many years.

Joyce was the loving wife of her husband, James B. Post III for 54 years; and was an extremely devoted mother and grandmother to her three children, their spouses and five grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be sadly missed by her children, Dr. James B. Post IV (Saretha), New York City; Jerry (Shai) Mountain Top; and Jody Lada (Steven), Wilkes-Barre; and she will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, James B. Post V and Jessica, New York City; Abigail and Alexander, Mountain Top; and two-month-old Talia Joy Lada, Wilkes-Barre.

Joyce will live on in her grandchildren's hearts because she made all holidays so special, it meant everything to her. They will always hear her sing, "May Our Dear Lord Bless You" after every "Happy Birthday."

She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Joseph Stigora (Cynthia), Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews.
