July 22, 1953 ~ December 19, 2024 (age 71) 71 Years Old

Linda Wazeter Obituary

     Ms. Linda Louise Wazeter, 71, a resident of Pittston, passed into eternal life the evening of Thursday, December 19th while in the care of Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre; following a recent illness.

     Born on Wednesday, July 22, 1953 in Wilkes-Barre, she was one of five children to the late Alexander Sr. and Helen (Gacha) Wazeter. 

     Educated in the Back Mountain schools, she was a graduate of the Dallas Senior High School, class of 1971.  She later furthered her education by attending the Wilkes-Barre Business College and then earned her Bachelor's Degree in Management (Organizational Theory and Human Resources) from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California.

     Ms. Wazeter was a lover of children and animals.  Before formally retiring, she was self-employed in the local pet care industry for several years and previously worked as a certified preschool child development associate, working at the Preschool Learning Workshop in Kemblesville, PA.

     Above all else, she is best remembered as being a loving sister, aunt and dear friend.  Her presence will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

     In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne "Susan" F. Wazeter on January 10, 2005.

     Left to cherish all the wonderful memories they keep of her are her brother, Attorney Alexander Wazeter Jr. and his wife Alexandra of Costa Rica;  Sisters, Barbara Brady of Great Meadows, New Jersey and Marcia Wazeter along with her husband Albert Jesikiewicz of Pittston;  Her adoring nieces, Stephanie Cummings and her children Summer, Maddie and Fox; Sara Ostrenko and her husband, Illya along with their daughters Nadya and Natalya; Alexis Felsman, D.O.; her husband Derek and their children Scarlett, Noah and Layla; Janelle Jesikiewicz and her husband Edmund Janosov and their son Parker; Several dear friends and her beloved cat, Jackson.  

     Memorial funeral services and interment for Ms. Wazeter will be held privately and at the convenience of the family from the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with no formal calling hours.
