Mrs. Lorraine C. (Sabol) Kastreva, a resident of Hanover Townshp, passed into Eternal Life early the moring of Friday, June 30, 2023 while in the care of The Gardens at Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre.
Born on Tuesday, March 29, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre, she was one of two daughters to the late George and Sadie L. (Macierowski) Sabol. Educated in the city schools, she was a member of the 1967 graduating class of the former James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. Previously, she held membership in Saint Robert Bellarmine Parish, Wilkes-Barre.
Mrs. Kastreva is remembered best as being a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her adoring family.
She positively loved and was so proud of her grandson, John George. Her presence will be greatly missed by all those she touched in this life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Gerald E. "Jerry" Kastreva on April 18, 2022. At the time of Mr. Kastreva's passing, the couple had just celebrated fifty-three years of married life the week prior on April 12, 2022.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories they keep of her are her children, Mr. Gerald E. "Jerry" Kastreva Jr. and his wife Michele Legate of Scranton; Miss Laura C. Kastreva, Hanover Township, and her buddy, her grandson John George Kastreva, also of Hanover Township; Sister, Ms. Gloria McGlynn of Plains Township; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Kastreva for a memorial gathering on Saturday morning, July 8th from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
