Mr. Mark J. Schultz, 63, a resident of Dallas, passed into eternal life peacefully and unexpectedly early Thursday morning in the comfort of his residence.
Born on Sunday, January 12, 1958 in Wilkes-Barre, he was one of four children to the late John Jacob and Elizabeth Eleanor (Rynevich) Schultz.
Educated in the city schools, Mark was a member of the 1975 graduating class of the former Elmer L. Meyers High School, South Wilkes-Barre.
He previously was employed as a home health aid until illness caused his early retirement from professional duties.
For more than thirty years, and in his spare time, he used to love umpiring local little and teener baseball leagues.
Mark and his wife, the former Connie Kline celebrated four years of married life together last December.
Mark is remembered as being a loving husband and friend to those who knew him in this life. His presence will be greatly missed by Connie, Jordan, Cooper, Molly and all those who were so special to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Jacob Schultz Jr. and more recently by his brother Timothy J. Schultz on April 10, 2006.
Left to cherish his memory in addition to his beloved wife Connie at home are his children, Jeffrey Schultz and Kayla Schultz; his sister, Alice K. (Cathy) Schultz of Wilkes-Barre; Several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Per his previous request, funeral services for Mark will be held privately and at the convenience of his family from his cousin's funeral home, the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. There will be no formal visitation.
