Mrs. Patricia (Latsko) Rundle, 77, formerly of Plains Township, more recently a resident of the Village at Greenbriar, Dallas, fell asleep in the Lord early Saturday morning in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, following a recent illness.
Born on Monday, April 29, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the eldest of five children to the late John and Helen (Wentz) Latsko.
Educated in the Plains schools, she was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart High School, Plains Township. Mrs. Rundle furthered her education by taking courses at then, College Misericordia in Dallas.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an eyeglass technician for Balester Optical Labs of North Wilkes-Barre for several years.
Devoted to her eastern Catholic faith, she was a member of Holy Assumption of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, North Wilkes-Barre; where she previously volunteered her time with the annual parish festivals.
Pat will forever be remembered as being a loving, devoted wife, sister and aunt to her adoring family. Her presence will be greatly missed by all those she touched in this life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. David Rundle on September 21, 2008. At the time of Mr. Rundle's passing, the couple shared thirty-nine years of married life together.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister and caregiver, Mrs. Joan Kozich and her husband Robert of Forty-Fort; Brothers, Mr. James Latsko and Mr. John Latsko; Several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Kara Shute of Bordentown, New Jersey; fellow parishioners and dear friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rundle will be conducted on Thursday, November 2nd. The Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 695 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Very Reverend Michael Kerestes, pastor, will serve as celebrant and homilist.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will immediately follow in the parish cemetery, Lake Street, Dallas.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join Mrs. Rundle's family directly at church Thursday by 9:45 a.m. There will be no public visitation.
