Ms. Regina Hawk, 76, a resident of Washington Square Apartments, Wilkes-Barre, passed into glory the afternoon of Thursday, May 1st while in the care of Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre, following a recent illness.
Born on Monday, December 13, 1948 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter to the late Albert Geddis and Beatrice Black. She was educated in the Newark School System.
In her youth, Ms. Hawk was previously employed by the R.C.A. Corporation in Newark; the I.T.T. Company of Nutley, New Jersey and later for the Burlington Mills of North Carolina prior to her relocation to the Northeast.
In her spare time, Ms. Regina was an avid reader; a good cook back in her day, even running a family restaurant; loved to shop and was quite the "fashionista" when she stepped out on the town.
Above all, she is best known as being a loving, devoted mother and grandmother to her family who will miss her presence deeply in their lives.
She bid farewell to a son, John Hawk in October of 2023.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ryan Hawk, his companion Monifa Patterson and Ryan's son Qumar Hawk of Wilkes-Barre; Her daughter and caregiver, Ms. Lisa Hawk of North Wilkes-Barre; Brother, Tracy Brandon of Newark, New Jersey; several nieces, nephews, neighbors and dear friends.
Per her previous request, funeral services for Ms. Regina will be held privately and at her family's convenience with no formal visitation.
The John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc. of Wilkes-Barre is honored to care for Ms. Regina and her family at this time.
Those wishing to share online words of comfort or a fond memory with Lisa and the family are encouraged to do so here on her memorial page. Thank You.
